Hope everyone is enjoying the Woot-Off and anticipating a BOC or something new from shirt.woot. Just want to keep you guys updated on 2.0. We are still fixing bugs and updating the program so it may or may not be released before the end of the Woot-Off. Please keep in mind, the current version is very buggy, it is BETA and has never been tested in a Woot-Off before.
We are working extremely long and hard to add multiple features, fix bugs, and speed up the program as a whole. We appreciate all the bug reports and errors you guys have been sending us, you’ve all been a tremendous help.
The SMS and IM is not running this Woot-Off. We ran into some errors and decided to focus all our attention on the actual program rather than the SMS and IM functions. If you entered your phone number in the box at the top of the page, no worries, you won’t be receiving any text messages from us. At the conclusion of the Woot-Off we will clear all the numbers from our system so no need to email us to ask us to remove your number. The next Woot-Off (August most likely) expect WootAgent to be 100% functional, the Application should be bug free and working quite well, and the SMS and IM functions will be running full force. Enjoy the remainder of the Woot-Off and thanks again for all your continuous support.

Anywhere I can still download 1.0?
July 24th, 2007 at 11:05 pm
No, 1.0 has been completely replaced by 2.0 (which is soon to be 2.5). 2.0 is alot faster then 1.0. Is there any particular feature ur lookin for in 1.0 thats missing in 2.0?

During the last woot-off I downloaded wootagent to see if it would meet my needs. It doesn’t unfortunately. I have tried everything to delete this from my computer however it is there somewhere because whenever I powerdown the computer it pops back up. I erased anything called Darkstar, wootagent, etc. Any ideas?

Jon,
It works ok on my desktop, but I cannot get it to look / work right on my laptop at all (which is the one I use most of the time). Tired of messing with it, I’ve just uninstalled it. If 1.0 is no more, then I’ll just look for another tracker. Unfortunate, I really liked 1.0. I know 2.0 is a beta, but isn’t that a reason to also offer your last stable version?
Wendi,
First check your add/remove programs and make sure it really is gone from there. Next, did you try running a search, or did you just look for yourself? Make sure your search is searching the entire C drive. Good luck!

hey guys, its Jon again. Just lettin you guys know that 2.5 is rolling out now to fix all the current bugs (plus it works faster). I have no control over what goes on on the website, im not really an employee of WootAgent, i just write the code freelance. I dont know what “Darkstar” is, but i can tell you that it has nothing to do with WootAgent. I coded every part of it and there is no “Darkstar.” just erase the WootAgent2.exe and it will go away, although i hate to see you give up on wootagent. and Sarah, how doesnt wootagent work on your laptop? is the Microsoft .Net 2.0 runtime installed (if you get an error saying “cannot find mscorelib, or something of that nature, you dont have it). otherwise, post back here and il give you my email so i can get to the bottom of it.
A little sneak peak for those who are interested, the new version introduces an Auto Updater, so you no longer need to check the website to get a new release (long overdue).
Any questions for me directly, feel free to email support and theyl forward it to me (include your email so i can get back to you). Thanks for using WootAgent!

2 suggestions.
1.) Multiple monitors. I hate that it has to be docked to my main screen.
2.) don’t automatically put the agent into the run key in registry. I don’t like that. Give the user an option.
Otherwise, it worked fairly well during the last wootoff.
Good job with 2.0.
