WootAgent has added another feature to the site: Darkstar’s woot!-off checker. This is a web based auto checker (no refreshing required) which takes the load of Woot.com’s servers. The constant refreshing of Woot’s homepage is what causes the site to become very slow and even crash.
Also, we’ve been receiving many complaints that the IM/SMS features aren’t working. To be quite honest, this isn’t a solid Woot-off for us because we are in the process of finishing up Version 2.0 of WootAgent, while at the same time Beta testing the IM and SMS features. Keep in mind these are BETA tests so it is not 100% functional. It may appear to be functional for some time, but we are constantly pulling down the service to fix errors/bugs and then putting it back up for testing.
Lastly, thank you everyone for your patience and feedback to help us better our programs.

During the Woot-Off is when we discover most of our errors within our program because thousands are using it and providing feedback. Right now there are two major errors that will be fixed by the time the next Woot-Off rolls around.
1) Connection Error - WootAgent won’t connect or stay connected to Woot! We know of this bug and right now the only temporary fix seems to be to completely close out of the program and then reopen it.
2) Woot-Off Siren - We know it can get really annoying, we just didn’t put in a feature to turn it off or change it, woops! Right now the only thing you can do is turn off your volume to get the sound to go away.
Enjoy the rest of the Woot-Off and continue to use and tell your friends about WootAgent.

Hooray! We’ve decided to release the wootAgent AIMBOT to allow all users to test it during this Woot-Off.
If you use AOL Instant Messenger then send an IM to: WootAgentBot
Once you message the bot, it will immediately message you back with the current item, price, and a link to the item. Type: help for more options and you can subscribe to messages from the WootAgent bot. If you want to subscribe, type: add and you will be added to the bots list and every time a new item appears you will be instantly notified. During Woot-Off mode, you will receive an IM every time the ‘percentage sold out’ changes.
If you want to be removed from the list, type: remove and you will be notified that you have been removed.
