Download the Latest WootAgent that’s Now Available

October 16th, 2007

Well, it’s finally available. Thanks to all the folks that assisted us with the bug fixes. Now you can download the latest WootAgent. It’s still version 2.5, but with bugs fixed. We fixed the bug where it would hang on Windows XP and removed the use of the Windows Registry. We don’t foresee making any other major edits to WootAgent (unless you guy want us to), so this should be good to go for now. If we do, the auto updater will take care of everything.

We are working on adding some more specific search engines for the Price Checking tab, so look out for that auto update soon.

Signing off for now. Go Download WootAgent here.

Yeah, and the options don’t work either.

I try to turn off alerts, turn off sounds, and I’m still getting all the sounds and alerts.

    Uninstalling….

  4. yomann Says:

Btw, I just discovered that your 2.5 version snuck a file called “Program” in my root directory which, upon reboot, totally screwed up my computer. WTF, is this Trojanware, or what?

This is definitely not safe to install. Stay the hell away from it.

  5. Jon Says:

umm that would NOT be true. this software is 100% clean, and i can promise that because i wrote every line of code. this program DOES NOT install ANYTHING to the root directory.
