We are aware of the errors that were caused during the latest woot-off and are almost done cleaning them up. We want to stress that WootAgent does not install anything on your machines, it’s not spyware or malware. We don’t install ANYTHING!
We will make an announcement once the new version is cleaned of the bugs it has.

I’ve noticed several problems with the WootAgent. I’m running on XP Pro.
1. Every couple of days, I will get another WootAgent task added to my Startup. It will be called WootAgent1, then WootAgent12, then WootAgent123. Of course, the additional WootAgents fail to start, as they have conflicts opening files that the original WootAgent opens. Once I delete these from the Startup, they will begin reappearing in a few days.
2. There seems to be some sort of memory leak. Every morning I reboot my PC. It’s been running for under 30 minutes, and the WootAgent task is already 82Meg and growing. It’s the second largest task that is running, bigger even than firefox or outlook. For such a “think” app, I would have expected a much smaller footprint.

So, it should download automatically? Is there a way to check to see if it has downloaded?
